Terms of Service & Commercial Agreement
Operational framework, technical selection responsibilities, liability boundaries, and intellectual property terms governing SNT Industrial Safety Projection solutions, digital platforms, and engineering services.
Scope of Agreement & Commercial Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) establish a binding commercial framework between SNT Industrial Visual Safety Warning Solutions (“SNT”, “Company”, “we”, “us”) and purchasing entities, industrial distributors, system integrators, OEM partners, and institutional facility operators (“Client”, “Partner”, “User”).
By accessing SNT technical documentation, requesting photometric calculation models, executing pilot procurement orders, or deploying SNT LED/Laser Projection hardware and PLC control modules, you confirm commercial authorization to bind your organization to these terms.
Commercial Intent & B2B Status
All transactions, engineering proposals, and portal features are designed strictly for Business-to-Business (B2B) transactions. Consumer protection regulations do not apply to industrial safety engineering configurations supplied by SNT.
Visual Warning Layer & Liability Boundaries
Optical Projection as a Supplementary Visual Layer
Non-Substitutive Warning Policy: SNT Virtual Safety Signage, Laser Line Projectors, and Dynamic Warning Systems are engineered solely as supplementary visual alert mechanisms.
Optical projections do not replace statutory physical safety measures required by OSHA, ISO, CE, or local occupational safety authorities, including physical guarding, hard barriers, lockout/tagout (LOTO), personal protective equipment (PPE), or certified acoustic backup alarms.
2.1 Environmental Performance Factors
Actual visual performance and projection readability depend entirely on on-site factors beyond SNT’s direct control, including:
- Ambient Light Intensity: High-lux natural daylight (>1,500 lux) or direct high-bay luminaires.
- Floor Surface Reflectivity & Contrast: Dark asphalt, wet epoxy, oil contamination, or grooved concrete.
- Mounting Angles & Keystone Distortions: Oblique angles altering target optical density.
- Atmospheric Attenuation: Heavy airborne dust, mist, steam, or optical lens particulate buildup.
SNT disclaims all liability for workplace incidents resulting from improper site condition reporting, inadequate contrast assessment, or failure of personnel to observe projected visual warnings.
Technical Selection & Pilot Validation Protocol
3.1 SNT Engineering Selection
SNT delivers technical selection matrix recommendations (wattage, optical lens beam angle, GOBO diameter, IP rating) based exclusively on customer-provided site criteria. If customer input data is accurate, SNT will support corrective optic configurations.
3.2 Mandatory Pilot Validation
For new facility layouts, complex dynamic switching, or multi-unit rollouts, SNT advocates a 1-2 unit Pilot Stage. Full-scale procurement without pilot validation indicates the client assumes all responsibility for on-site visual contrast acceptance.
Automation, Sensor & PLC Integration Terms
When SNT hardware integrates with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), overhead crane controls, microwave radars, or facility Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs):
Integrators must maintain specified DC/AC voltages. Voltage surges beyond transient suppressor limits void all board warranties.
The external system design must feature default fail-safe visual states (e.g., constant STOP or solid red on sensor comms loss).
Class 3R and Class 2M laser line projectors must be installed at heights preventing direct ocular exposure according to IEC 60825-1.
Intellectual Property & Customization Rights
SNT Proprietary Assets: Optical simulation data, thermal chassis designs, multi-GOBO switching logic, firmware, website schematics, and technical selection software remain the exclusive intellectual property of SNT.
Custom GOBO Artwork & Indemnity: When clients provide vector artwork, corporate logos, or custom safety iconography for laser etching or glass GOBO fabrication, the client warrants full ownership or license rights. The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SNT against any third-party copyright or trademark infringement claims.
Warranty Scope, Exclusions & Limitations
SNT warrants that factory-delivered hardware (LED modules, power drivers, laser diodes, stepping actuators) will remain free from manufacturing defects for the designated warranty term (standard 24 to 36 months depending on model tier).
Warranty Exclusions:
- Thermal degradation resulting from installation in unventilated enclosures exceeding maximum operating ambient ratings (>45°C/113°F or >65°C for specialized high-temp units).
- Lens surface scratching or chemical corrosion caused by abrasive site cleaning agents.
- Laser line dispersion or GOBO burn-in resulting from unauthorized third-party power driver substitutions.
- Unauthorized modification of sealed IP65/IP67 waterproof enclosures.
Limitation of Damages: In no event shall SNT be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including plant downtime, logistical interruptions, or lost revenue resulting from projection hardware downtime.
Regulatory Compliance & Governing Law
Global Export Compliance: SNT safety solutions are manufactured in compliance with international CE, RoHS, and FCC directives. Distributors and integrators operating within North America (US, Canada) and the European Union are responsible for verifying local municipality electrical code compliance (e.g., UL listings, NEC Class 2 wiring requirements).
Dispute Resolution: These Terms are governed by commercial arbitration rules. Any unresolved disputes arising from global sales contracts shall be submitted to binding commercial arbitration in accordance with UNCITRAL procedures.
